| Orlestone’s 21mm thick Select Prime grade oak flooring is cut from the centre of the oak and is characterised by a smooth flowing grain texture and near knotless appearance. There are minor heart splits or burrs and colour tone is more uniform and less varied than Rustic grade and Character grade.
The naturally elegant choice
Viewed in a room environment, the colour appears even and balanced, with gentle colour variation between planks to create an image of elegance and calm.
For the modern interior
Orlestone's Select Prime grade oak is our most expensive and elegant oak timber. This is the floor to choose for a modern contemporary room. Our Select Prime grade oak flooring is also the preferred choice for retail environments, restaurants and rooms requiring a solid wood floor with a modern and ageless feel.
Highest quality from our sawmill in Kent
At the Orlestone Oak saw mill our Select Prime grade floor lengths are inspected to ensure a consistency across the grade. Any colour variations or texture differences that occur have been deemed by our staff to be suitable for our Select Prime grade. The floorboards are manufactured with either a tongue and groove fitting or square-edged, on request, and are supplied unfinished ready for sanding, sealing or oiling. We also supply quality engineered oak flooring and oak plugs.

Select Prime grade finishing options
All Orlestone Oak, floor boards are supplied unfinished, ready for you to sand, wax and stain to produce your desired result. However, we would recommend that our solid oak flooring is supplied pre-sanded.
